KIP TV Network, also known as Knowledge Is Power Network (“KIP TV,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you visit kiptv.network; use a KIP TV application, program, streaming viewer destination, contact form, pay-per-view offering, or other service that links to this Privacy Policy; communicate with us; or otherwise interact with KIP TV (collectively, the “Services”).

1. Information we collect

We may collect personal information directly from you, automatically through your use of the Services, and from service providers or third parties as described below.

Information you provide directly

When you contact KIP TV, submit a form, inquire about sponsorship, request production services, ask about a school partnership, apply or inquire about the Creator Partner Program, purchase a pay-per-view item, enter a promotion, or otherwise communicate with us, you may provide information such as:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Organization, business, school, church, or district name
  • Job title or role
  • City, address, service area, or other location information you choose to provide
  • Inquiry type and the content of your message
  • Links, files, images, video, audio, show proposals, or portfolio materials you send us
  • Billing, transaction, and purchase information, where applicable
  • Any other information you choose to provide

Please do not send sensitive personal information through a general contact form unless we specifically request it and you understand why it is needed. Sensitive information can include government ID numbers, financial-account numbers, medical information, passwords, or information about a minor.

Information collected automatically

When you visit or use the Services, we and our service providers may automatically collect information such as:

  • Device type, operating system, browser type, language, and settings
  • IP address and general location inferred from IP address
  • Pages or screens viewed, links clicked, referring or exit pages, and time spent
  • Dates and times of access
  • Device identifiers, cookie identifiers, and similar identifiers
  • App, platform, and player activity where available through a streaming or distribution partner
  • Diagnostic information, log information, and performance information

The exact information collected depends on the Services and tools actually in use.

2. How we use personal information

We may use personal information to:

  • Provide, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the Services.
  • Respond to questions, contact-form messages, proposals, and requests.
  • Discuss or administer sponsorship, production, school, creator, programming, employment, purchase, or other business opportunities.
  • Process transactions and provide customer support for purchases when applicable.
  • Send operational messages, confirmations, service notices, and, where permitted, marketing communications.
  • Measure the use, performance, reach, and effectiveness of our website, programs, sponsor recognition, and promotions.
  • Protect the security, integrity, rights, safety, and property of KIP TV, users, partners, and the public.
  • Comply with legal obligations, enforce agreements, resolve disputes, and investigate suspected fraud, abuse, or violations.
  • Carry out another purpose described to you when the information is collected or with your consent where required.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

We and our service providers may use cookies, pixels, web beacons, SDKs, local storage, tags, and similar technologies (“Cookies”) to recognize a browser or device and collect information about how the Services are used.

Cookies may be used for essential functions, security, preferences, analytics, fraud prevention, and measurement. Some Cookies are set by KIP TV or Squarespace; others may be set by third parties whose services are embedded or used on the site, such as analytics, video, payment, social-media, or streaming providers.

Most browsers allow you to remove or block Cookies through browser settings. Blocking some Cookies may affect site features or the way the Services work. Where required by applicable law, we will provide a consent or preference tool before placing non-essential Cookies.

4. Sponsorship and advertising

KIP TV is supported by local sponsorship rather than viewer subscriptions. Sponsor recognition is arranged directly with KIP TV and is presented to the audience of a program generally, rather than targeted to individual viewers based on their browsing activity.

KIP TV does not currently use a third-party advertising network to serve personalized or interest-based ads on this website, and does not currently place advertising Cookies for that purpose.

If that changes, we will update this policy at or before the time such a service is introduced, describe the categories of information involved, and provide the opt-out choices required by applicable law. Where required, we will present a consent or preference tool before placing non-essential Cookies.

Sponsors and production clients may receive aggregate reporting about programming performance, such as estimated views or reach. That reporting is not intended to identify individual viewers.

5. Analytics

We may use analytics providers, including the analytics tools built into our website platform, to understand how visitors use the Services. Analytics may collect information about pages viewed, actions taken, device and browser characteristics, referring sources, approximate location, and other usage information.

We use analytics to understand what is working, improve the site, troubleshoot technical issues, and measure programming and campaign performance. Analytics providers may use Cookies and similar technologies.

6. How we share personal information

We may share personal information with the following categories of recipients:

  • Service providers. Companies that help us operate the Services, including website hosting, form processing, email, analytics, payment processing, streaming distribution, cloud storage, security, communications, and technical support providers.
  • Analytics and measurement partners. Partners that help us understand use of the Services and measure programming and campaign performance, as described in this policy.
  • Business and production partners. When needed to respond to or perform a request you make, such as a production project, sponsorship arrangement, approved school partnership, creator relationship, event, or distribution matter.
  • Professional advisers. Lawyers, accountants, insurers, auditors, and similar advisers when necessary for legitimate business purposes.
  • Government authorities and others for legal reasons. When we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law, legal process, or a valid governmental request, or is necessary to protect rights, safety, property, or security; investigate fraud or abuse; or enforce our terms.
  • Successors in a business transaction. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, subject to applicable law.
  • With your direction or consent. When you ask us to share information or consent to sharing.

We do not sell personal information for money in the ordinary sense. However, privacy laws may define “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” broadly enough to include certain advertising or analytics disclosures involving Cookies or identifiers. See the “Your privacy choices and rights” section below.

7. Public and third-party content

If you submit a testimonial, comment, proposal, content sample, or other material that is later published or distributed with your permission or under an applicable agreement, it may become publicly available. Think carefully before sending information that you do not want shared.

The Services may link to, embed, or be available through third-party websites, apps, social-media services, streaming platforms, and payment providers. KIP TV is not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties. Review the privacy policy of any third-party service before providing it with personal information.

8. Children's privacy

The public-facing Services are not directed to children under 13, and KIP TV does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the public website without verifiable parental consent where required by law. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the Services without appropriate consent, contact us at tony@kiptv.network so we can review and take appropriate steps.

KIP TV may work with schools on student media activities through a separate, coordinated process. For KIP TV-produced student participation, KIP TV will handle parental consent. The district remains responsible for its own policies, permissions, notices, and legal obligations. Public website forms should not be used to submit a minor's personal information except through a process approved by KIP TV and the appropriate parent, guardian, or school authority.

9. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide the Services, respond to inquiries, complete transactions, maintain business records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect against fraud or misuse.

Retention periods vary based on the type of information, why we collected it, the sensitivity of the information, our legal obligations, and whether continued retention is necessary.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No website, transmission, device, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. You are responsible for using caution when sending information online and for protecting the security of your own device and accounts.

If we become aware of a security incident involving personal information, we will take steps we consider appropriate under the circumstances and as required by applicable law.

11. Your privacy choices and rights

Communications

You may opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in the email or contacting us at tony@kiptv.network. We may still send non-marketing communications, such as responses to your inquiry, transaction notices, or service-related messages.

Cookies

You can manage Cookies through your browser settings and, where available, our cookie preference tool. As described in the sponsorship and advertising section above, KIP TV does not currently run a third-party personalized advertising network on this website. If we introduce one, we will describe the applicable opt-out tools in this policy at that time.

Access, correction, deletion, and other requests

Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or information about personal information we hold about you. You may also have rights to opt out of certain uses of personal information, including targeted advertising or certain disclosures treated as “sale” or “sharing” by applicable law.

Describe your request clearly and provide enough information for us to verify your identity and understand the request. We may ask for additional information to verify your identity or authority to make a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

Authorized agents may submit a request on behalf of an individual where permitted by law. We may require proof of authorization and identity verification.

12. California privacy notice

This section applies to California residents to the extent the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CCPA/CPRA”), applies to KIP TV's processing.

In the preceding 12 months, KIP TV may have collected the following categories of personal information, depending on how you interact with the Services: identifiers such as name, email address, phone number, online identifiers, and IP address; commercial information such as purchase or inquiry details; internet or other electronic network activity such as browsing and interaction information; approximate geolocation inferred from IP address; professional or employment-related information you provide; and audio, visual, electronic, or similar information you submit or that is included in a production or proposal.

We collect these categories from you, your device or browser, our service providers, and third parties as described in this policy. We use and disclose them for the business and commercial purposes described in the “How we use personal information” and “How we share personal information” sections.

KIP TV does not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age. KIP TV does not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require a right to limit under the CPRA, except as described in this policy or as permitted by law.

California residents may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, and receive equal service and price. To exercise these rights, use the contact methods in the “Your privacy choices and rights” section.

California residents may also have the right to request information about certain disclosures to third parties for the third parties' direct-marketing purposes. Send such a request to tony@kiptv.network with the subject line “California Privacy Request.”

13. Texas privacy notice

This section applies to Texas residents to the extent the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act or other Texas privacy requirements apply to KIP TV's processing.

Texas residents may have rights, subject to applicable exceptions, to confirm whether KIP TV processes their personal data, access personal data, correct inaccuracies, delete personal data, obtain a portable copy of certain personal data, and opt out of processing for targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, or certain profiling decisions.

To exercise an applicable Texas privacy right, contact KIP TV using the methods in the “Your privacy choices and rights” section. We may verify your request as permitted by law. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to the decision or emailing tony@kiptv.network with the subject line “Texas Privacy Appeal” within 45 days of the decision. We will review the appeal and respond within the period required by applicable law. If your appeal is denied, we will provide information, where required, about how you may contact the Texas Attorney General.

14. International visitors

KIP TV is based in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where KIP TV or its service providers operate. Those locations may have privacy laws that differ from the laws where you live.

15. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the Effective Date and Last Updated date. If we make a material change, we may provide additional notice when appropriate. Your continued use of the Services after the updated policy takes effect is subject to the revised policy to the extent permitted by law.
